‚ÄčEdith Prendergast, R.S.C.

Born Catherine (Kathleen) Predergast in Moneyvroe, Cappoquin,Co. Waterford, to Catherine and Richard Prendergast. She was the fifth of six children to be raised on the family farm in the townland of Affane in the western area of the county. It was in this rural setting that Edith learned that care for those less fortunate was a basic human value that defines who we are in the world before one another and before God.
